A copper-alloy Roman radiate, probably of Tetricus I (AD 271-4) (Reece Period 13), prpbably SALVS AVGG, Salus standing left at altar, feeding snake and holding (rudder?). Gaul Mint I. Normanby p. 196, cf. nos. 1492 / 1495. The coin has an irregular flan and appears to be mis-struck. It is possible that it is a contemporary copy / barbarous radiate.

An incomplete copper-alloy brooch of Roman date (AD 43-150), perhaps an Aucissa type. Only the lower part of the bow and the foot remains. The bow has two wide transverse grooves towards the bottom, just above a small rounded footknob, but is otherwise undecorated. On the reverse of the narrow bow is a catchplate, triangular in side view and with a large sub-triangular perforation. The bow is broken 9mm above the top of the catchplate and bent sideways to make a right angle with the lower part of the bow. The metal is an olive green in colour and has a smooth patina.

A medieval copper alloy annular buckle, dating to 1350-1400 AD. It consists of a circular frame which is 3.79mm in width, and is circular in cross section. The pin is 34.41 mm in length, and only just reaches across the entire frame. There is no decoration. The frame has a dark green patina, whilst the pin is lighter in shade, implying a different alloy. The buckle is 31.68 mm in diameter, and weighs 8.2g.
A similar buckle is illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (2002, no. 31). Similar brooches (with a constriction to hold the pin in place) are also known, for example no. 1307; both …

A copper-alloy button of early Post-Medieval date. The head of the button has a diameter of 10.54mm and is 6.9mm thick. It is convex on both the upper and lower surfaces and there is no decoration. The integral loop is 7.85mm in length, giving a total length of 15.26mm. The button weighs 3.7g.
The button probably dates from the 16th century. See Bailey, G. 2004 (Buttons & Fasteners 500BC-AD1840) p.28-9, Figures 7.30, 7.36-7.40.

An incomplete post-medieval cast copper alloy hooked tag. It has a circular plate with an integrally cast trapezoidal loop at the top. There is a broken hook projecting from the opposite side. The plate is decorated with worn cast relief in a circular shape with a projection to one side, perhaps a bearded face which is upright when the loop is held to the left and the broken hook to the right. There are patches of red within the face which are probably patches of corrosion. There is a raised border around the plate. Length: 21.00mm. Width 13.71. Thickness 1.55mm. Weight 2.3g.
