An incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch, probaby Colchester-derivative, possibly Polden Hill, probably dating to c. AD 50-150. The surviving portion comprises of the bow and catchplate, with the head and pin mechanism missing. The bow is sub-rectangular in cross-section, terminating below the head in an old break and tapering into an unelaborated, rounded foot. The front of the bow is decorated with a pair of moulded channels separated by a central ridge, tapering towards the foot. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy hinged developed T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The lower half of the bow has been lost, along with the catch-plate, as has the pin. The upper half of the bow has been bent to one side as a result of old damage. At the head of the brooch the wings survive largely complete to a width of 20.2 mm, though there is some damage visible to the lefhand wing at its tip. The frame is formed of two oval loops which are D-shaped in cross-section, and are bent upwards to form an angle of c130 degrees. The outer edges of the frame are bevelled. The two loops are divided by a narrowed and recessed axis bar. The bar has slight knops at each end. There are traces of pin rests on the frame. A large fragment of a broken post-medieval copper-alloy strap-fitting, probably a sword belt hanger/mount dating to c. 1500-1650. The strap-fitting would probably have had three suspension loops from which a trio of hooked plates would have hung, and with a trefoliate terminal (knop) at either end. The other terminal and two of the loops and all hooked plates are missing. A post-medieval copper-alloy coin weight for a Unite of Charles I. The obverse depicts a crowned bust facing left surrounded by a CAROLVS REX inscription. The reverse shows XX with a crown above and S below (indicating shillings). The coin weight is 18.3mm in diameter, 3.5mm thick and weighs 7.01grams. There is a 12 o'clock die axis relationship between the obverse and reverse. The coin weight is c23% light compared to its official weight of 140.5 grains (Withers and Withers 1995: 12-13). The coin was issued between AD 1625 and 1649.

The seal appears to be of the two-disc type and both discs and the connecting rivet survive, although the tab that previously linked the discs is missing.
