An incomplete copper-alloy Roman strap fitting. It has an oval loop and a D-shaped cross section frame. Inline with the minor axis of the loop, the outer edge of the frame has two opposite projections: a globular knop and a recessed rectangular box containing redish material which might be iron corrosion.
It belongs to the broad range of the strap fitting datable to the period from the 1st century BC to the 1st century AD

A copper-alloy Early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) strap fitting. The link piece has a sub-cylindrical central part with a slight swelling in its mid-section; at both ends it has a circular loop. One of the loop still retains part of a possible badly corroded iron chain.
No parallels have been found. Dating to the late 5th- early 11th century AD.
