A silver medieval groat of Edward IV Groat, Light Coinage dating to AD 1461-75. London mint. Coronet initial mark. Obverse - Polylobe of 9 arcs with crown-facing bust , outer inscription EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC (Edward by the Grace of God King of England and France). Quatrefoils at neck . Reverse - long cross, three pellets in each of the 4 quadrants, outer inscription POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEVM (I have made God my helper), inner inscription CIVITAS LONDON (City of London).
