A contempary forgery of a Charles 1 half crown ,1625-1649, with copper alloy core with silver plating.
The copper alloy is showing through on edges and center,the coin is very worn.
Diameter is 32.72mm Thickness is 2.16mm Weight 11.9gm
Obverse: CAROLVS D G MAG BRI FRA E[T] HIB REX.
Horse and rider ,only horse leg and head visable.
Reverse:[CH]R[ISTO] [AV] SPICE REGNO.
Round garnished shield.
Mintmark is Triangle on its side off center.
