A complete post medieval copper alloy crotal bell, dating from 1500-1700. The bell consists of two hemispheres divided by a horizontal circumferential joining rib, which is raised. At the centre of the upper hemisphere there is an integral rectangular suspension loop which has an oval perforation. On either side of the suspension loop there are two circular sound holes. On the lower hemisphere there are two sound holes either side, close to the joining rib. These are joined together by a slot. A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1500-c. 1650 AD) with a plano-convex section. Both loops are of similar size and shape and both are steeply bevelled on the inner face. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section with a small knop at each end. The copper-alloy tapering pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. Frame: length: 36.03mm; width: 24.74mm; thickness: 2.28mm Pin: length: 19.79mm; width at loop: 4.29mm. Overall weight: 6.36g. A similar buckle has been published and dated c. 1500-1650 (Whitehead 1996: 54, ref: 308)

A Post-Medieval cast lead object: a palm guard, for use by a leather worker to protect the palm whilst stitching. In plan it is oval in shape, pointed at one end. It is D-shaped in cross-section. The flat surface is marked by one small lead mound near the centre to stop the needle slipping of the flat surface. Bailey (1995, 64-65) dates such objects to the 17th century onwards.

A complete cast copper-alloy Post Medieval (c. 1509 -1800) cast round (crotal) bell. No makers mark on the bottom so exact age uncertain. The bell comprises two hemispherical domes divided horizontally by a circumferential ridge. An incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped 'spectacle' type buckle dating to the post medieval period, c. 1550 - 1650. One loop of the frame, the strap bar and the pin survive. It originally would have been figure-of-eight- shaped in plan (each loop being oval) with rounded surfaces on both sides with some signs of bevelling on the internal edges of the frame. There is an indented pin rest in the centre of the surving loop, and the pin itself is well-made and thickset, having been manufactured separately and then looped over the strap bar. An incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped buckle dating to the post medieval period, c. 1550 - 1650. The frame and strap bar survive but the pin is missing.It is rectangular in plan, with a rounded upper surface and flattened underside. It has an ferrous corrosion stain on one side of the strap bar which probably reflects the original pin. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina,it measures 26.5mm in length, 24.84mm in width, 1.95mm thick at the midpoint of the frame, and weighs 4.13g For a similar buckle see Whitehead 2003, no.458
