Copper-alloy, Roman steelyard weight in the shape of a female bust, AD 43-410. The weight is moulded in high relief, with silver studs inset into the eyes of the figure. The figure wears a tall rounded helmet, which may have represented the goddess Minerva, similar to finds from South Shields, Figures 394, 472 and 473. The torso has no arms and bears a representation of a sleeve-less garment with a high neckline and three circular decorations across the chest.
