A complete Medieval copper alloy French jeton made in Tournai dating to c.1415-1497, Shield of France type, (Mitchiner 1988, page 227, no 687). The obverse shows the Shield of France bearing three complete lis, with an 'o' above. The inscription reads: X AVE MARIA o GRACIA. The reverse shows a triple stranded straight cross fleuretty in a four-arched tressure. In the internal angles there are two V's and two M's. In the external angles there are four o's.
