Copper-alloy fragment from a medieval composite strap-end (c. 1300 - 1500 AD). The fragment is of a flat circular frame with a decorative collared knop which flares and then terminates in a smaller knop. Two spurs that project from the other end are the remnant of the integral forked spacer. The object has lost its separate sheets. The fragment is generally matt and dark brown, with some shin dark brown patches on the decorative knop.
It is 36.47mm in length, 20.50mm in width and 3.42mm in thickness. The object weighs 4.20g.

Complete copper-alloy double sheet strap end of medieval date (c. 1200 - 1500 AD), with copper-alloy rivet and copper-alloy sheet spacer. The strap end is sub-rectangular in shape with a straight attachment end and long sides that taper slightly towards a pointed foot end. The short attachment edge is uneven and seems to have been truncated slightly. There is a single flat-headed copper-alloy rivet in the attachment end, positioned centrally. Copper-alloy strap end dating to the medieval period (c. 1150 - 1450 AD), complete with two copper-alloy rivets. The strap end is long and narrow, tapering slightly from the attachment end and narrowing dramatically into a long, pointed foot with a ridged collar. The short edge at the attachment end is concave.
