An almost complete cast copper alloy post medieval hooked belt mount dating to the 17th Century. The mount is in the form of a moulded foliate design and has two integral pointed lugs on the reverse; one of which is bent. There is evidence of gilding to the edges and in places across the surface of the mount. The mount has a light green patina.
It measures 31.19mm long , 13.95 mm wide, 1.93 thick and weighs 3.89 g. Similar hooked mounts can be found in Read, B., 2001, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity, p29-37.

An incomplete cast copper alloy mount from the post medieval period dating to 17th century AD. The mount is in the form of a fleur de lis and has two integral attachment spikes, one of which is broken. It measures 29.03 mm long, 22.54mm wide, 3.85mm thick and weighs 6.78g. There is evidence that the mount was gilded as some flecks of gold have remained on the front, sides and reverse of the mount.
Similar mounts can be found in Read, 2001, 29-37. Fig 22 No 336 is also in the form of a fleur de lis.
