A Roman republican silver denarius, minted probably by T. Carisius in Rome, 46 BC. the flan is uneven at the edge nearest the obverse nose. Obverse:- female head facing right, solid border around. '[S] C' behind head. Reverse:- Quadriga driving right, figure in chariot. Lettering in exergue 'T. CARIS(IVS)'.

Reverse: Garlanded altar on which rests a mask and against which rests a thyrsus, on the right a panther springing left, in exergue C.VIBIVS, on right VA[RVS] upwards. Mint of Rome. A Silver denarius of Mark Anthony. Obverse: [ANT AVG] above and III VIR [R P C] below; galley right. Reverse: LE[G] V(II?); Legionary eagle between two standards. 30-31BC. These coins were struck by Mark Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavian (later Augustus), which culminated in the Battle of Actium on the 2nd of September, 31 BC (Grueber, 1970, 526).
