A cast post medieval, copper alloy, foot from a small vessel. The main part of the piece depicts a lion's head, below which is a short section of leg terminating in a clawed foot. The back is undecorated and concaved behind the mask. The leg is nearly round in cross-section, with a tendon running down the back. The foot sits at right angles to the rest of the piece. There is a small patch of iron corrosion on one side of the lion's head, visible on both the front and back, which inidcates that an iron rivet pierces the object.
