Fragment of a probable copper alloy Roman plate brooch, inlaid with enamel, dating to the 2nd century AD (100-200AD). The object is oval in plan and slightly convex on the outer face. There is a break at the top and bottom of the object.  This suggests that the object could be a large roundel from the centre of a brooch bow.  It is decorated on the outer face with a series of concentric circular cells, the largest of which contains blue enamel or glass. The inner circles appear to contain degraded enamel or glass, which is a rusty brown colour. The reverse is plain.  …

An incomplete copper-alloy rowel spur of Post-Medieval date, c.1600 – 1800AD. The spur consists of an ovate sectioned neck which splits to one end forming the rowel box. The rowel is now missing. The curved arms with a D-shaped section. Both arms have been bent and distorted, but each terminate with a pair of button-headed rivets. The spur has a mid-green patina and is worn. Fragment of a ceramic handle, the consensus from a post on the Medieval and Later Pottery Research Group Facebook group, is that this is likely to be Ham Green dating c1300-1500AD. Silver penny of Henry V (class G, local die) dating c. 1420-1422AD. York mint. Obverse has the crowned bust of the king facing with the legend  h[ENRICVS REX ANGL]IE.  Mullet to the left and trefoil to the right of the crown. Reverse has long cross pattée, with a quatrefoil and pellet at the centre. In each quarter there are 3 pellets.  In the first quarter there is also an annulet. The cross divides the legend which reads CIVI / T[AS / E]BO / RACI. Measurements: Diameter: 16.4mm; weight: 0.92g Die axis: 7

A medieval gilt copper-alloy openwork harness pendant frame for two-piece harness pendant (c. 1200-1400AD). The pendant comprises a quatrefoil outer frame formed by four arches with a knop between each arch. Late Medieval copper alloy ewer spout, probably of 15th century date (c. 1400-1500AD). The zoomorphic spout is in the form of a dog's head with the spout protruding from the open mouth. The dog is portrayed with upright ears, protruding above the brow and are concave across their widths. The eyes are formed with incised lines. The neck, which is curved, would have been attached to a vessel. The spout has a dark green to brown coloured patina.
