A lead-alloy button of Medieval to post-Medieval date (c.1300-1600). The head of the button circular and has been damaged, but may have been flat originally.The upper surface is decorated with relief-moulded ovals marking the quarters.On the reverse there is a casting seam which passes through a heavy, rectangular, loop.
