An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged Colchester derivative developed T-shaped brooch, dating to c. AD 75-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the upper bow and left wing only, with the rest lost to old breaks. The head of the bow is incomplete, with the right wing lost in line with a central rectangualr slot cut into the rear of the head. An incomplete Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch, group C, probably dating to AD 100-200. The surviving section of the brooch comprises of the head, upper bow and spring, the lower boch and pin both missing. The head of the brooch is sub-triangular in cross section, 10.8mm wide by 10.1mm high. From the reverse expands a central transversey perforated lug, retaining the copper alloy axis bar in situ, as well as a the sprung pin mechanism. A Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy hinged strip bow brooch, probably dating to AD 25-70. The brooch survives largely complete, missing only its axis bar and pin. The brooch consists of a thick, c. 3.6mm, plate in the form of an inverted S, 45.5mm long and 28.1mm wide, decorated with enamel and possibly coral inlays. Probably dating to c. AD 1-200. An incomplete Iron Age La Tene I brooch, probably dating to c. 400-200 BC. The surviving brooch comprises of the bow and partial spring, with the foot, pin and part of the spring all missing. A Medieval copper alloy buckle with integral forked spacer, probably dating to c. AD 1300-1450. The buckle frame has a single oval loop, with a D-shaped cross section. A Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy annular buckle with a central bar, probably dating to c. AD 1450-1600. The frame and bar are rectangualr in cross section, the outer edge of the frame is case into the form of a five-petaled rose. Dimensions: length 28.0mm; width 26.0mm; thickness 3.0mm; weight 5.71g. A similar buckle was excavated in Norwich in a context dated to AD 1561-1690 (Margeson 1993: 29, no. 157), however, they are often assumed to be earlier based on their decoration, cf. The coin is struck on a notably eliptical flan, with the remains of a white metal coating only visible on the obverse and peirced at 3 o'clock. Such reuse could be either Roman or Early Medieval in date, in the absence of any finds from the latter period the former is suggested.
