Description: A Post Medieval silver gilt dress hook. The hook comprises of a rectangular plate with a globular knop expanding from each corner and from the centre of three sides. A Post-Medieval copper alloy dress hook, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1650. The dress hook consists of a rectangular loop surmounting a sub-pentagular plate, comprising of an upper recessed rectangular transverse channel, over a lower triangular element cast into five openwork circles, now incomplete. From the tip of this triangular element projects and integral forward facing hook, truncated by a break, with the juncture between the two deliniated by a transverse collar.
Dimensions: length 27.6mm; width 15.9mm; thickness 2.4mm; weight 2.74g.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy dress hook, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1650. The dress hook comprises of a central, downward pointing sub-pentagonal plate, broadly falt in cross section, with a rearward facing hook expanding from the base of the plate, the point of which is missing. The hook has a D-shaped cross section. A rectangular attachment loop expands from the top of the plate.
