An incomplete Iron Age to Roman copper alloy applied hook brooch, probably a variant of Mackreth's type 1.b. or 1.c., probably dating to c. AD 25-100. The brooch now comprises of the bow only, with the head, pin and catchplate lost to old breaks. At the head of the brooch the bow survives to a width of 19.1mm and a thickness of 15.7mm, sub-rectangular in cross section.
