An incomplete Late Medieval Tournai (late) Shield of France modern type Jetton, probably dating to c. AD 1400-1500. Highly abraded and missing much of its original edge to a worn break. Obverse depicts a square topped shield with recurved sides containing three fleur-de-lis, reverse depicts a triple stranded cross fleury within a quadrilobe. See Mernick and Algar (1991: 232-235) nos. 118-150.
Although the die axis cannot be measured, the reverse' cross is orientated at 45 degrees to the obverse.
