An incomplete silver Medieval penny of Edward III (AD 1327-1377), dating to AD 1352-1355. Fourth coinage, Pre-treaty series D or E. Minted in Durham. North (1991: 51) nos. 1159 or 1170. The coin has been cut in half along the line of the long cross on the reverse; between 11 and 5 o'clock on the obverse.
