A very worn Roman copper-alloy coin, probably a contemporary copy of a Claudian as, dating to the period c.AD 41-54 (Reece period 2). Unclear reverse type possibly depicting a standing figure with elbow projecting to right. Cf. Boon, 1988: pl. III, especially nos. 41-44 (nos. 41-43 for Antonia under Claudius), for similar contemporary copies that may provide parallels. The coin is struck on an irregularly shaped and unusually thin flan.
