A Post-Medieval copper alloy toy cannon, probably dating to c. AD 1700-1900. The toy is cylindrical, flaring at the mouth and and terminating in a knop at the opposing end. Both trunions survive, expanding from a slightly thickened collar. A crude perforation thorugh a narrowed waist below the terminal knop forms the firign hole. The surviving section comprises of a sub-rectangular sectioned bar of silver which tapers and arcs downwards slightly into an old break at the terminal. A Late medieval inscribed gold finger ring. The ring consists of a plain band with beaded edges on the exterior face defining a slightly recessed central band. This is inscribed in black letter with the words de bon coer (of good heart), with the words alternating with engraved floral motifs.
