A Medieval copper alloy bucke plate, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1400. The buckle plate is sub-rectangular, comprising of copper alloy sheet cut into two oval lobes arranged longitudinally and divided by a transverse bar, with a second bar at the buckle end, with a smaller, plain rectangular back-plate connected by two rectangular arms which would have curved around the bar of the buckle.
