Asymmetrical buckle dating circa 1575 - 1700. The buckle is made of copper alloy, while its method of manufacture was cast. Weight: 2.00g, Thickness: 2.27mm, Length: 26.66mm, Width: 18.46. The frame of the buckle is divided by the strap bar with the left side of the frame being rectangular and the right side circular in shape. The rectangular edge has a ridged surface while the circular portion of the frame has moulded knops projecting outward. An example of this buckle type can be seen in (Whitehead, 2003: 86, Figure 577).

An early post-medieval (AD 1500 - 1600) dress hook, Read's Class E, type 3 Circular/sub-Circular. Material: Copper Alloy, method of production cast. Dress hook is completely intact with large area of open work bordered by two projecting knop's on either side of the openwork and a projecting angular collar at the juncture of the plate and the hook. An early post-medieval dress hook Read's Class E, type 4 Lozenge/sub-Lozenge shape hook. Material: Copper alloy, while the method of manufacture is cast. Weight: 0.81g, Thickness 1.27mm, Length: 25.61mm, Width: 13.45mm. Object is slightly worn, with the end of the hook missing and damage to the attachment loop. Seven recessed dots are evident on the diamond face of the dress hook with a recessed space in the center for decoration which has been worn away. This gilded surface has been stylized and is most comparable in terms of imagery to a sun with a central dome surrounded by eight outcroppings which all end in a point, except for those which have been damaged and worn. A copper alloy Roman (43 - 410AD) figurine of Cupid in flying pose. The figurine has a distinctive 'chubby' face with distinct features and detailed styling of the hair. One arm is outstretched with the hand missing, while the other arm, which is bent at the figurines torso, is incomplete up to the elbow. One leg is perfectly intact, while the other is missing a foot. The figurine also has well detailed wings, of which only one remains. Similar examples to this object are found on the database: NCL-2C40A4.

A worn copper-alloy Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) stirrup-strap mount dating to the eleventh century AD. The mount is flat and pentagonal in plan, having an apex loop at the top and three projecting lobes on each side, which on this example have not survived. The flat surface would have originally featured a design, which is now extremely worn. There is one circular rivet hole at the apex loop and two circular rivet holes at the base of the object. Cast copper-alloy seal-box base. It is lozenge-shaped and dates to the Roman period (1st - 4th Century AD) (Read, 581). The underside of the lid is recessed with four circular holes. There is an incomplete lug at one end to attach the lid. The item has a mottled dark green patina. See BERK-8045A1 for a similar example. Seal boxes were used to protect the lump of wax which held together the bindings of a packet or writing tablet.
