Copper alloy Irish halfpenny of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), mintmark trefoil, dated to 1601 on the reverse. The coin is worn and bent, but the crowned harp and the date 1601 is visible on the obverse and the shield with part of the inscription [POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM] MEV on the reverse. Base silver and copper coins were produced as emergency coinage to help finance the campaign againt the Irish in 1601. There is a small hole near the edge of the coin which has torn away the edge at that point, which might have originally been for suspension. Cf. Spink (2002) p.153, no.6511

Copper alloy rose and orb jetton minted in Nuremberg by Hans Krauwinckel II (master 1586, died 1635). Mitchiner (1988) p.445, nos.1574-1577 with possible die flaw in letter 'M' on reverse but that is where part of the jetton is missing. The jetton seems to have been pierced deliberately on one edge but the outer edge of the circle is now missing so it may have originally been complete and used for suspension.

Incomplete cast copper alloy single loop clasp, missing its strap bar and plate at one end, with a moulded zoomorphic decoration at the other end, the head of a mystical beast, possibly a griffin. The head is in high relief and has fine detailing, with pointed ears, holes for eyes which may once have had a decorative infill, a protruding snout, a band of diagonal grooves above the eyes and grooves radiating from either side of the snout, which probably represents the animal's pelt. A copper-alloy dress hook of Post-medieval date with would have been used with a corresponding eye that mirrored the shape and decoration. At one end is a T-shaped bar or toggle, which would have attached to textile or leather, which expands into the plate with a transverse groove just inside from the edge. An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy dress hook. This example is a Read's Class E Type 3 single sharp-hooked clasp with an integral attachment loop in the same plane as the circular plate. The attachment loop is mostly missing but would have been trapezoidal in plan. The hook is re-curving with an angular shank. The plate is circular in plan with an engrailed edge and domed in profile with a concave reverse. It is decorated with a moulded rosette with a central pellet surrounded by five larger pellets alternating with five smaller pellets, representing petals and leaves. …

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Polden Hill type two-piece brooch with a spring mechanism. The cross bar of the brooch is composed of hollow, rectangular wings which are semi-circular in profile to accommodate the iron spring, now missing. Between the two wings at the back projects a semi-circular lug pierced with two holes. Incomplete cast copper alloy hooked sword belt hanger in the from of a thistle flower, flat in section. There appears to be a broken section across the opposite end to the hook, where a belt atachment might have been. On the external arm of the hook there is a moulded foliate pattern that appears as a frond. A fragment of the rim and part of the body of a large cast copper alloy cauldron. The upper edge of the rim is flat and at an oblique angle to the interior of the piece and the rim itself everts outwards at about 45 degrees from the body of the vessel. The body of the exterior angles inwards at the broken edge creating a wide vertical band leading to the rim which might have been a flattened rib or the area to fit the handle brace, which has broken away from the body of the vessel. An incomplete cast copper alloy single loop kidney-shaped buckle frame with a pinched outer edge where a central groove forms the pin rest between bifid mouldings. The upper face of the frame .is decorated with a series of oblique grooves that radiate out from the two outer corners of the frame. The strap bar is narrowed and flush with the frame and the pin is missing. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar kidney-shaped buckle on page 11, no.20 which is dated from c.1450-1550.
