An incomplete post medieval cast copper-alloy buckle this is a trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle (AD c. 1660-1720). The spindle is missing. There is a molded pin rest on the outer of each loop. The sdes are concave with a bifid knope around each spindle hole.
Overall the buckle measures 32.6mm long, 21.9mm wide and 5.6mm thick. It weighs 7.00g.
This buckle is similar to an example illustrated in Whitehead 1996 p.99 No.627
