Incomplete cast copper-alloy eye fitting from a toggle clasp sword belt, dating from c. AD 1550-1650. The item is sub-rectangular in shape and is formed of an outer 'D' shaped sectioned frame with a rectangular void at the centre. One edge has a raised curved profile. The opposite edge appears to be broken just beyond a slightly raised ridge. Near to the raised curved edge there is a loop attached with an approx internal diameter of 3.6mm.
