Fragment of a copper-alloy strap end, dating to the Medieval period c. AD 1250-1500. The item has a flat reverse and slightly convex surface. The terminal portion of a strap end showing a foliate moulded terminal with a rivet hole (1.6mm in diameter) at the centre. There is a constricted neck, and part of a plate with the remains of what is likely two rivet holes. The surface appears to be silvered or tinned, though the condition is abraded. Fragment of a copper-alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Harlow type, likely dating to c. AD 50 - 70. The remaining section of the brooch comprises the head and the upper bow.
