Obverse: Crowned bust facing. EDW R ANGL DNS HYB. Egg-waisted 'S', possible cross potent with long serifs initial mark.

Worn and clipped silver penny of the second reign of Edward IV (c. 1471-1483). The obverse is extremely worn and very few details remain. The reverse shows a long cross with a 'D' in the centre and three pellets in each angle. Minted at Durham either under under Archbishop Lawrence Booth or under Archbishop William Dudley. Spink 2116, North 1658 or 1665-66
