A silver cut farthing of a voided long cross penny, probably of Henry III (1216-1272), Long cross coinage (1247-1272), Class Vc (1250-1256). The coin is cut so that it only shows the top of Henry's head and the crown with three round pellets as the central ornament on the obverse, suggesting Class Vc, and the letters ON C on the reverse which suggests ON CANT and therefore the Canterbury mint. Wren (1993) refers to this as the Canterbury variety for Class Vc on page 59.

A small medieval lead token with a cross and pellet design on the reverse and what appears to be the head and shoulders of a human figure facing right on the obverse. The casting is crude, and a small fragment of black metal, probably iron, has adhered to the obverse surface of the token. Fletcher (2003) illustrates a similar token with a bust facing right on p.31 and a cross and pellet design, imitating the reverse of the penny at this time, on p.32, which are dated from the Medieval period. In his discussion on p.34, Fletcher says that geometric designs on these tokens evolved in th…

Cast copper alloy casket key with a flat circular bow, that is 13 mm in diameter, and circular perforation that is 8 mm in diameter. The hollow stem, which is 27.5 mm in length, is oval in section. So the coin, which was probably orginally an 8 maravedis of Philip III of Spain, was revalued first to 6 maravedis in 1659, as it wore down, and then to 4 maravedis, during the reign of Philip IV.
