Incomplete cast copper alloy spur dating from the Post-medieval period. The rowel is missing, but the rowel box has traces of the iron pin in the attachment holes where the rowel would have fitted. The box has expanded and rounded terminals which curve upwards and narrow towards the short neck which is oval in section. Most of one side of the spur is missing and the other side has broken off before the point where the figure-eight terminal would have attached to the boot. A cast copper alloy stud with a lozenge-shaped head that is plano-convex in profile, dating from the late Medieval to the early Post-medieval period. The head is decorated on the upper face with a saltire cross formed of pellets radiating from the centre within a square of pellets. The square sits diagonally within a beaded border that forms the edge of the stud. On the reverse is a pointed shaft of square cross-section, the tip of which has broken off, now 4.5 mm long and 3 mm wide at its base. Incomplete Langton Down strip brooch dating from the early Roman period, made of a strip of thin copper alloy sheet metal, folded into a tube at the top to hold the pin mechanism. Only one of the wings and the bow of the brooch survive with a tapering body with three broad parallel longitudinal grooves down the front face. The foot, catchplate, pin, spring mechanism and one of the wings are all missing. Sherd of pottery of a red fabric, slightly curved with moulded decoration on the incurved side and a smooth exterior surface. Both surfaces are coated with a bright terracotta slip, but Roman Samian would have had a clear slip and this appears painted to make them more orange in colour, suggesting that this is a modern imitation. Silver Venetian soldino of one of the Doges of Venice, Leonardo Loredan, issued from 1501-1521 in Venice, Type 9. Soldinos were known as the galyhalpens (galley-halfpence) as they were brought into the country by the annual Venetian trading fleets. The soldino was about the size of English halfpennies and was popular because of a contemporary lack of small change; soldini in fact occur as English finds more often than proper halfpennies of the period.
