A cast copper alloy oval setting containing an opaque blue glass intaglio, with a trace of a red border around the edge of intaglio and a bevelled edge to the copper alloy frame. The red material is probably setters wax, made of shellac and turpentine or resin, which was used to hold the glass intaglio within the frame. There is a trace of white substance on the edges of the frame of the intaglio, perhaps lead solder. The intaglio depicts a bust of a head facing right.
