A complete silver farthing of Edward III dating to the medieval period AD 1344-51. North Number: Third (Florin) Coinage, Type G 1135/1.
Obv: Crowned bust facing, probably bifolate crown - [ED]WARDVS REX AN
Rev: Long cross, three pellets in angles - CIVI TAS LON DON
NB: Somewhat tentative identification due to the addition of the 'AN' to the end of the obverse legend. Spink (p174) notes the 'An' for 1562B, but with the reverse featuring an escallop in one quarter (which this does not).
