Incomplete silver denarius, possibly of Faustina I, dating to c. AD 138-61 (Reece Period 7), unclear female figure left, holding patera and [?]. Mint of Rome
Surface is brown - dark grey with shiny silver areas. Surface is pitted and decoration is indistinct. A notch-shaped part of the top edge is missing, the surface of the missing area appearing to be fractured and showing some green corrosion. Possibly the object has a copper alloy core and silver surface, which would mean it is a contemporary copy.
