A copper alloy, Hod Hill brooch, dating from the Roman period. This Hod Hill type brooch has the distinict bow in the centre and the head at the top. This particular model is considerably shorter than other Hod Hill types, and has patches of black coating. The pin and plate are missing, with the brooches condition being rather corroded and worn.

A copper alloy button, dating from the post medieval period. This particular button is rather corroded, causing the button to become worn, this has lead to straight sides, instead of its usual distinictive circular shape. The buttons obverse side has a plain checker pattern design, with the reverse side containing what remains of the buttons loop, which has mostly gone.

A copper alloy, dolphin type, Roman brooch. This particular brooch has the distinguishable curved stem, giving it the name dolphin. At one end, there is two wings, one side curvular facing the stems arch, with the reverse side being flat. The condition of the brooch is corroded, with one wing being bent.

A copper alloy, strap fitting dating from the medieval period. This particular strap fitting is rectangular with a circular centre. The rectangular ends probably fixed to something, mostly likely a hooked like feature. The condition of the strap fitting is poor, with cases of heavy corrosion.

A copper alloy, medieval strap end, of a tongue-shaped form. This particular strap end would of had a scalloped attachment edge, round grooved aperture and two rivets, tapering sides on a leather strap, though is missing some of these vital components. The condition of the strap end is rather poor, with bent ends and missing elements, but with one rivet still inplace. Reference: Egan, G. & Pritchard, F. (2002). Dress accessories 1150-1450.
