A large cast and lathe turned copper alloy trade weight of late Medieval to Post Medieval date (c. AD 1450-1550). The weight is circular, flat, and decorated with two incised concentric circles at the outer edge and one in the centre on the face. The central circle is decorated with a stamped crown. The reverse is plain aside from a central perforation and a series of light concentric grooves indicating the use of the lathe.

A lead alloy probable vessel repair or pot mend, dating from the Roman to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 43-1700). The object is roughly oval in plan and consists of one large side from which projects a slightly smaller sub-triangular piece of lead. This would have passed through the hole in the vessel to secure the mend. The object has a creamy white patina.
As Oakden (2017) states, 'pot mends of this form are found in both Roman and Medieval periods, as a common way to repair broken vessels. Without any remains of the pot it is impossible to date it more precisely'. Therefore, …

An incomplete copper alloy pot leg and foot dating to the late Medieval to Post Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1700). The leg and foot are D-shaped in section with a flat interior surface and convex front. There is a raised collar between the foot and leg and the foot is arched in the instep. The leg terminates in a a worn break. The interior is solid though the break reveals the upper part of the leg is hollow.

A fragment of sheet copper alloy, probably dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1000-1500). The fragment is now roughly square in shape, with a geometric design of three inter-connecting incised semi-circles on the face. The two vertical edges have been cut following the lines of the deocration on the face of the object, whilst the two horizontal edges are straight. A fragment of a copper alloy terminal from an unknown object, dated to the Iron Age to Medieval period (c. 50 BC - AD 1500). The object is sqaure in profile and rectangular in shape. At the terminal is a short cyclindrical projection. There are no decorative features apparent on the fragment. There is a very slight curve in the object indicating it may have come from a bracelet, torc or another rounded object. See record no. A complete lead token dating to the late Medieval to Post Medival period (c. AD 1400-1800). The token is circular in plan with the face bearing four raised dots in a square shape. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The object is cream and mid-grey in colour.
As stated by Freeman (2017) lead tokens were used for a variety of activities, including gaming, tickets, tallies, weights etc. Most were produced locally therefore making them difficult to date precisely. Those with stylised designs, such as the example seen here, were most likely Post Medieval in date.

An incomplete copper alloy token dating to the Post Medieval to Modern period (c. AD 1700-1900). Both the obverse and reverse depict three ostrich feather plumes passing through an open crown. There is no legible inscription apparent. The token is well worn and the bottom half is missing.

An incomplete copper alloy hooked strap fitting probably dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1700). The object comprises of a loop with two extending arms of near equal length. There are the remains of two circular rivets on each arm. The metal has a mid green coloured patina with areas of dark red corroded patina around the rivets suggesting they are iron.
A similar object has been recorded on the database with the suggestion that the object could be a fitting for a sword belt or sword hanger. See record no. WMID-476485.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting or belt mount dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1400). The mount has a circular plano-convex body with five engraved lines across it horizontally. Two squared lobes project from the main body at opposite ends. The back of the body is hollow and concave, whilst the back of the lobes are flat. There are two rivets holes in the lobes, one of which retains the rivet in situ.

A complete copper alloy strap fitting of probable Medieval date (c. AD 1300-1500). The object is composed of a single rectangular strip of copper alloy that folds over on itself with the two ends meeting. This creates a loop at one end and there is a single rivet to hold the folded metal in place at the opposite end. Suspended from the loop is a plain circular copper alloy ring with a diameter of 9.3mm. Similar examples can be seen in Griffiths et al (2007: 126) plate 21 nos 1239-1241.

The fitting is oblong in shape with a squared off end at one terminal and a rounded end tapering into a flat T-shape at the opposite terminal. The centre of the object has openwork decoration consisting of a trefoil at the squared off end and below this a long keyhole shape. The squared end has one rivet in situ in one corner. The object has a mid-green patina.

The object is formed from a sheet of copper alloy bent round upon itself and secured with four rivets: two at the joining ends and two at the folded end. The two rivets at the folded end are no longer present, whilst the two at the opposite end remain in situ. The two ends of the sheet do not quite meet with one end falling short of the other. An incomplete copper alloy strap end or strap fitting dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1450). The object is roughly rectangular in shape with a squared off end at one end and a worn break at the opposite end. The squared off end has a rivet hole though no rivet survives. The object tapers slightly along its length towards the broken end suggesting its original form was a strap end. It has a dark greenish brown patina and no signs of decoration.

A fragment of a silvered copper alloy prick spur dating to the Roman period (c. AD 200-410). The object comprises a broken D-sectioned arm terminating in a flattened disc, which is perforated to accommodate a rivet by which it would be attached to its strap. Between the arm and the disc is a rectangular collar. There is evidence of silvering on the face and reverse of the disc. The rest of the object has a mid-green patina.

A fragment of a white metal plated copper alloy spoon dating to the Post Medieval to Modern period (c. AD 1700-1850). The object comprises the bowl of the spoon, which has a pointed oval shape characteristic of later spoons. The edges of the spoon bowl are very rough and damaged therefore making it difficult to determine where the handle of the spoon was once attached. There is a puncture hole in the base of the bowl with a small crack running from it. The object is silver in colour with speckled mid-green patination across much of the reverse of the bowl.

A complete copper alloy seal matrix dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1400). The seal is pointed oval or vessica shaped with an integral lug on the reverse. The obverse depicts the remains of the legend around the edge and a central motif, however the seal is very heavily worn and corroded making the obverse completely illegible.
