An incomplete Medieval to post medieval copper alloy purse bar. Only one half of the bar survives. It is rectangular in plan and ovate in section, tapering along its length to a circular terminal at one end and a worn break at the other end. An integral loop projects from one edge.
One surface of the bar bears a shallowly incised inscription containing a backward facing G and C Traces of another, inscription are present on the opposite side though is extremely shallow and its meaning cannot be determined.
