A copper alloy stud or terminal, rectangular in plan,and a round cornered rectangle in section treminating in a flange.The rectangle has rounded corners at one end then tapers slightly before widening into a flange at the other end. The base of the flange is flat. Through the object there is a rectangular hole which is slightly off centre.Length 13.5mm width 11mm,height 9.5mm .Weight 5.9g

An incomplete Medieval to post medieval copper alloy purse bar. Only one half of the bar survives. It is rectangular in plan and ovate in section, tapering along its length to a circular terminal at one end and a worn break at the other end. An integral loop projects from one edge. One surface of the bar bears a shallowly incised inscription containing a backward facing G and C Traces of another, inscription are present on the opposite side though is extremely shallow and its meaning cannot be determined. An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a zoomorphic brooch dating to the late Roman period, c. 350-450 AD. It originally would have been broadly rectangular in plan with a straight strap-bar. Only a small fragment of the outer frame survives. It takes the form of a pair of dolphin-like animal. Originally there were probably two dolphins facing each other and conjoined at the mouth. Just prior to the snout of a small circular pit within a circle presumably the eye. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it measures 28.00mm long , and 11mm wide by 2.00…

A copper alloy mount dating from the Roman period. The surviving piece is in the shape of a semi circle which has two smaller circular pieces cut out of it (pelta shaped). The front is convex and the reverse is flat. it has a notch opposite the central bar. It has a length of 33.0mm, width 22.0mm from notch to tip of central bar. Thickness 2.00mm, weight 8.92g. Similar objects on the PAS database are ESS-A61324, SUSS-EA12D2 and WILT-6F9C36. They are often associated with the military and tend to be given a 4th century date.
