Copper alloy cast pin with stamped pellet-in ring motif. The head is a solid faceted rectangular cuboid. The top panel is undecorated but appears striated.The five side panels each contain one pellet-in ring motif.The two face panels each have a 4 pellet-in ring motif. The shank is integral to the head and has a small collar below. The shank is broken c.17mm along its length.Width of face 7mm,length 8mm. Width of top panel 3mm. Width of side panel 3mm.Weight 3g.Overall length 18mm.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy zoomorphic object, probably an Anglo-Scandinavian stirrup terminal dating to the 11th century (see Williams 1997 fig 4a). The stirrup terminal is broadly sub-rectangular in form and hemi-spherical in section, with a rounded outer surface and hollow open back. The outer face of the object has a moulded zoomorphic decoration in the form of a pair of ears above a brow ridge.The lower end may have a snout. Patina reddish brown covering most of its surfaces. A Roman lead steelyard weight, dating to the period c. AD 43-410. The weight is circular in cross section and bi-conical in plan. At its apex are the worn and corroded remains of an iron suspension loop, broken at the point it would have projected from the weight. It expands out towards its middle before narrowing again towards its lower terminus. There are the remains of a second iron suspension loop at this terminus, again broken at the point of projection from the weight and worn smooth. A complete copper alloy post-medieval button. The head of the button is domed, with the underneath being flat. The integral attachment loop projects from underneath the head of the button, it is rectangular shaped, flat, with a rounded edge. The circular hole of the loop has been worn more on one side. The button has a dark green patina. It measures 14mm in height, 11mm in diameter, and weighs 4.03g.

A late Saxon copper alloy strap end of Thomas type A. Cast elongated zoomorphic strap end with a beast head terminal ending in a snout. Twp. ears lie flat on the terminal. The upper portion is a split end which has been bent away from the face side. The body retains two circular perforations and a semi-circular perforation which terminates due to the break. The decoration appears to be a series of squares but is very worn. Length to bend 35 mm width 11mm weight 4.33g.

A copper-alloy heraldic harness mount, dating to the period c.AD 1200-1400. The harness mount is shield shaped in plan, with a flat upper edge, and curving sides which taper to a point at the lower terminal. A moulded border circumnavigates the edge, enclosing the heradic design. It is not possible to describe the heraldic design as it is very worn and no colour remains. The reverse of the shield has an integrally moulded spike, which is sub-rectangular in plan and cross section.Length 22mm width 17mm weight 6.27g

An incomplete, copper alloy, single looped buckle dating to the period AD 1200 - AD 1400. The buckle is incomplete due to the missing pin. The buckle is oval with a narrowed strap bar which is recessed with knops at each end. On the opposing edge the buckle has two knops either side the thickened pin rest. The buckle has a dark brown coloured patina. The buckle measures 18 mm in length, 22 mm in width and 3 mm in thickness and weighs 3.81g

A Post-Medieval copper alloy 'crotal' bell cast c.AD 1600-1800. The bell is spherical. 32mm diameter. The upper half has two sound holes 5mm diameter. The lower sound holes 8mm in diameter are joined together by a slot and are perpendicular to those on the upper half. Both halves of the bell-chamber are decorated with a sunburst design (sunflower would seem more appropriate). Roman copper alloy Hod hill type bow brooch, Length: 36 mm, width: 15 mm at the wing, thickness: 3.0 mm. The brooch is incomplete, missing its pin. It consists of circular cross sectioned wings with a central hole. The wing has a central recess to hold a hinged pin. Emerging from this is a wide, flat bow which tapers to a waist then continues in a vase shape which terminates with a transverse ridge and a globular base. Above the waist the bow is decorated with a raised rectangular ridge then three transverse ridges. The waist has two transverse ridges.

A complete copper alloy medieval casket key. It is cast with a simple round bow, a collar behind the bow, and an oval cross-section shank. The shank has a hole at one end and is hollow. The bit is rectangular in shape, with a transverse notch removed from the leading edge and another notch removed further away from the shank at the back edge. The whole is a M shaped when viewed from above. It survives in good condition with a green patina. The round bow has been worn thin opposite the shank. Length overall 38mm, length of shank 25m,bit 10mm by 9mm.
