An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of Aucissa type, dating AD c.43-70. Comprising of part of the bow only The incomplete bow is semi-circular in profile and oval in cross-section, being flat to the reverse and bevelled on the upper surface, which is decorated longitudinally with two central ribs merging into one. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy knife stop from a scale-tang knife (c. 1500-c.1600). The cap has an elongated oval base from which projects two symmetrical, opposing tabs both being broken off. They are separated by a deep central groove. it has a grey green patina with the exeption of the iron tang. A Post Medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating to AD 1500 to 1630. The frame consists of two oval loops divided by a central bar and an integral cast suspension loop. The suspension loop measure 9.4 mm in diameter and is aligned at right angles to the buckle frame projecting below the end of the central bar. The loops are almost D-shaped but coming to a blunted point in the centre and convex on the front and concave (angled) on the back and measure 28.8 mm in length the loops are 2.57mm thick. A complete copper alloy medieval buckle and strap end, dating from c. AD 1200-1300. The buckle is D shaped being constructed from sheet metal 2mm thick by 4.3 mm wide the buckle itself is 18mm wide and 19mm long it is also complete with its pin which is slightly bent, the axis bar is broken on one side but it rotates freely on the other end. A pair of copper-alloy tweezers of probable early medieval or medieval date, and which were probably used to hold pages of a book. The tweezers comprise two slender arms, arced at the top, and with slightly flared and inturned nibs at the terminals. The loop end has a very slight shoulder making it 1mm wider than the arms at that end. Approximately one third from the end is a metal bar which is bent around the arms which would have been used to secure them when not in use. The arms are not decorated.
