The brooch is of Colchester Derivative hinged type, demonstrating a circular-sectioned winged head with an internal axis bar and rectangular slot at its midpoint where the original pin would have hinged from (now missing in old damage). A complete cast copper-alloy key dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400. The key is complete except for the end of the shank, which is missing in an old break. It demonstrates a circular bow with a large central circular aperture, which transitions into a hollow oval-sectioned shank. Extending from the base of the shank at its terminal is a rectangular bit with a single small cleft taken out of each side. Preserved in fair condition with an even greenish patina, it measures 35.91mm in length, 13.21mm in diameter at the bow, and 3.51mm thick at the midpoint of the shank. It weighs…

Two struck flint flakes of undiagnostic prehistoric date, c. 8000-1500 BC. The first is a squat tertiary piece on relatively coarse grained greyish flint, a previous hinge negative on its dorsal face and a hard-hammer bulb of percussion on its ventral face. Length down percussion axis: 40.48mm, maximum width: 31.49mm wide, thickness at midpoint: 7.16mm. Weight: 11.61g. The second, a small piece of irregular tertiary shatter on dark fine-grained blackish flint. Length down percussion axis: 35.47mm, width at midpoint: 9.5mm, thickness at midpoint: 3.96mm. A complete cast copper-alloy and enamel harness mount dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. The mount consists of a shield-shaped centre, with a projecting arm that terminates in a pierced circular lug projecting from each corner (giving a total of three), presumably to aid in attachment or suspension. The reverse of the object is completely plain and featureless, while its front demonstrates the moulded design of a raised cross patonce. A copper-alloy coin weight dating to the Post-Medieval period, probably c. 1610-1650. The weight is rectangular in plan, with neatly chamfered edges and designs clearly visible on both faces. The upper face of the weight demonstrates the mark of a hand (denoting this weight was manufactured in Antwerp) flanked by the initials B B (the maker). Other symbols are visible adjacent to these initials, though they are almost totally illegible. A knapped flint adze of probable Mesolithic to early Neolithic date, c. 8000-4000 BC. The adze is of small size, being broadly triangular in plan with a very prominent dorsal arrise running down one face. By contrast the opposing face is much flatter, though displays a large patch of cortex close to the original cutting edge-the butt of the tool also being cortical. Lateral long removals of retouch down the edges of the piece probably reflect a combination of hard and soft hammer work, an attempt at a tranchet removal (unsuccessful) seemingly visible on one face.
