An incomplete and very worn cast copper-alloy fragment originating from an Early Anglo-Saxon probable great square-headed or florid cruciform brooch, dating c. 450-500 AD. The fragment consists the top right corner of the headplate, with decoration on its upper face consisting the remains of an inner rectangular panel, the borders demonstrating linear 'ribbed' motifs. Traces of gilding are visible in the recesses of the upper surface, though these are otherwise worn away. An incomplete cast copper-alloy spiral ring of probable later Prehistoric date, perhaps Middle Bronze Age (c. 1500-1150 BC) and possibly of the 'ornament horizon'. It is circular in plan, with worn breaks at each end where the rest of the object has broken away. It consists a circular sectioned piece of metal which has been coiled into a spiral of around two and a quarter turns. Preserved in good condition with a deep brown patina characteristic of much Bronze Age metalwork, it measures 36.57mm in diameter, c. 4.25mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 23.23g. An incomplete cast copper-alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. It takes the form of a six pointed flower in plan view, with a central circular body from which six leaf-lobed arms project. The vertical arms are notably thicker and longer than the others. The central body demonstrates moulded raised decoration presumably intended to represent the bud of the flower, around which the extensive remains of blue enamel inlay is visible.
