A complete cast lead-alloy die of probable Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c. 1200-1700. The die is cuboidal in form, with each face having a number incised upon it. The die is of regular form, as each opposing side adds up to seven. Preserved in fair condition with an uneven brownish patina, each face of the die measures c. 13.6mm long by c. 12.6mm wide, while the entire object is 13.57mm thick and weighs 24.46g. A cut fragment originating from a sestertius struck for Faustina I, dating to c. AD 161-175. Reece period 8. Reverse: uncertain due to wear and cutting of the coin. Mint of Rome. This fragment consists c. 20% of the original flan, with the edges apparently having been hammered into a square shape before a neat truncation has removed this slice from one edge. It is circular in plan and slightly plano-convex in section, with a rounded upper face and slightly dished back. The upper surface demonstrates copious remains of gilding, while at the apex of the pendant is a projecting suspension lug set at a plane of ninety degrees to the main body of the pendant itself.
