A cut fragment originating from a sestertius struck for Faustina I, dating to c. AD 161-175. Reece period 8. Reverse: uncertain due to wear and cutting of the coin. Mint of Rome.
This fragment consists c. 20% of the original flan, with the edges apparently having been hammered into a square shape before a neat truncation has removed this slice from one edge. The motivation for this action may have been votive in character, though this remains uncertain.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy continental lozengiform plate brooch dating to the Roman period, 100-200 AD. This brooch corresponds to Mackreth's series PL CONT 2.b.1, comprising of a central rectangular body from the cardinal points of which extend tapering triangular arms with knopped ends (the vertical arms being longer and originally demonstrating the hinged pin attachment mechanism and catchplate on their reverse faces). A virtually complete cast copper-alloy oval plate brooch dating to the Roman period, c. 100-300 AD. Only the pin is missing, with the rest of the object preserved completely intact. It is oval in plan, its upper face demonstrating a raised border and an inner raised concentric moulding- creating a central oval recessed cell surrounded by an outer recessed band. Most of the enamel is missing in old damage, though the outer band demonstrates a striped design of alternately inlaid yellow and deep bluish enamel (the latter of which is now rather glassy). A complete cast copper-alloy 'vulvate' or 'coffee bean' type stud of probable Roman military origin, dating c. 120-300 AD. It comprises a hexagonal plate with a heavily dished reverse, from the upper surface of which projects a central oval boss with a deep longitudinal groove running down its midpoint. On the reverse face of the mount are two integrally cast circular-sectioned lugs (one at each end).
