A complete cast copper-alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period, c. 1100-1400. It consists of two rectangular plates riveted together by an in-situ circular sectioned copper-alloy rivet at its upper edge, which expands towards its base to form a hollow globular terminal. Preserved in fair condition with an uneven and rather coarse brownish patina, it measures 26.08mm long, 5.80mm wide at its upper edge, and 12.93mm thick at its terminal. It weighs 7.01g. A complete cast copper-alloy zoomorphic mount dating to the Medieval period, c. 1300-1400. It is broadly sub-triangular in plan and plano-covex in section, with a slightly dished reverse demonstrating a projecting circular-sectioned attachment lug, and a slightly rounded upper surface. A complete copper-alloy vessel mend of medieval or post-medieval date, c. 1100-1600. It is formed from a sub-rectangular sheet of metal, the ends of which have been folded into the middle and the very tips of each side subsequently bent back outward. Preserved in fair condition wth a somewhat coarse greenish patina, it measures 17.42mm long, 13.13mm wide at its midpoint by 2.32mm thick, and weighs 2.02g. A complete cast copper-alloy rotary casket key dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400. It demonstrates a circular bow, which transitions into a hollow oval-sectioned shank (the latter two being separated by a single prominent transverse collar). From the underside of the shank at its terminal end, the bit extends. The latter is of simple form, being sub-rectangular in plan small cleft cut out of each side at its midpoint. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it measures 37.46mm long, and 4.46mm thick at the midpoint of the shank. It weighs 3.83g. Similar keys…
