Medieval copper alloy clasp, Length: 37 mm, width: 15 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 3.8 grams. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat rectangular plate which is folded over the frame and secured with a single rivet in the centre of its far edge. This is decorated on one side with a 'saltaire' design of rocker work. The frame is rectangular in form and cross section and has an attached plain rectangular plate rolled over its outer edge and covering half of the upper part of the frame.
