Late medieval to early post medieval copper alloy thimble dating to the period c. AD 1300 - 1550. It is formed of a single piece of sheet copper alloy, cylindrical with a domed, closed top. The exterior is covered in a series of hand-punched circular pits. Two circumferential grooves run around the mouth. Similar thimbles have been dated to the later part of the medieval period (c. AD 1400-1550) by Edwin Holmes (Sewing Thimbles FRG Datasheet 9) and are commonly known as "beehive" thimbles. Medieval copper alloy pommel cap from a dagger or sword dating to the period c. AD 1400 - 1500. Oval and domed in form, it exhibits a rectangular slot at the apex filled with corroded iron from the missing tang. Radiating from around the slot is a moulded six-armed impeller. The lower edge of the pommel exhibits a recessed collar. The base is open and the interior is hollow. Within are traces of iron corrosion product. See: SF9193, a similar example recorded in Suffolk.

Late medieval to early post medieval copper alloy hinged book fitting dating to the period c. AD 1400 - 1600. The attachment end comprises two loops which house the corroded remains of the iron axis bar. The plate is rectangular with an engrailed front edge. At the hinge end are two rivet holes, each surrounded by two concentric engraved circles. A third, empty, rivet hole, also bordered by two concentric engraved circles, is positioned at the central point of the front edge.

Incomplete post medieval strap fitting from a sword belt dating to the period c. AD 1600 -1700. The plate exhibits a flared, double-concave attachment end, now incomplete due to old breaks. It exhibits a vertical median groove running down the front and two rivet holes containing the corroded remains of iron rivets. The plate tapers slightly, and exhibits two opposed crescentic mouldings with a collared hook projecting from between them, terminating in an old break. Roman copper alloy pin of Cool's (1990) Group 1 dating to the period c. AD 43 - 409. Simple, globular head. The shaft tapers from the head, swelling towarsd the middle and then tapering to a point. The shaft is bent at a sharp angle just below the swollen part of the shaft. Cool (ibid) notes that pins of this form are common in East Anglia. See: Cool, H.E.M, 1990, p. 147.

Just below is a circular aperture filled with a red substance, possibly iron corrosion product. The body is formed of four sheet petals pushed inwards to enclose the copper alloy pea. Incomplete post medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1620 - 1680. The central strap bar has a small, D-shaped knop at either end. On one side of the frame is a trapezoidal loop with trefoil outer edge. The outer edge is engraved with a longitudinal line and the central foil is engraved with a transverse line. The second loop is largely missing, only two stubs remain. The pin is looped around the strap bar. Traces oif white metal coating are visible on both pin and frame. See: Whitehead, R, 2003, p. 84, no. 524.

Post medieval lead two-disc cloth seal dating to the period c. AD 1525 - 1724. Two circular lead discs connected by a rectangular strip. One disc exhibits a central rivet which has been pushed through the second disc and stamped flat. One disc exhibits traes of a stemped portcullis design. The touch hole is flanked on either side by a circumferentially moulded band. There is a thick circumferentially moulded band in the centre of the cannon with the trunnion projecting on either side. Medieval - post medieval copper alloy unidentified object, possibly a hooked tag or book fitting. Sheet metal cut into an oval shape with a triangular projection on one side, the tip bent downwards to form a small hook. The front of the plate exhibits a trefoil design, each line composed of two rows of punched rectangles. Towards the rear edge of the plate, and within the central fleur, is a circualr rivet hole retaining the remains of a copper alloy rivet. Simialr examples recordedon the PAS database include: SOM-482D35, SUR-1B5329, NMS-BED3F0 & NMS-EFF578.
