Incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch of Mackreth's (2011) Type CD RH dating to the period c. ad 43 - 65. The pin, foot and catchplate are missing. The C-shaped wings are incomplete, both terminating in a worn break. Projecting from the top of the head is the stub of the rearhook. The oval-sectioned bow arches back from the head and exhibits a slight median rib extending from the rearhook to the bottom of the bow which terminates in an old break.

Copper alloy knife end cap or stop of 16th century date. Cylindrical with a rectangular slot housing the corroded remains of the knife tang whcih terminates in an old break just beyond the stop. On either side of the slot is an engraved rectangular fanel framing an engraved saltire cross. The top exhibits an engraved line star (asterisk). A number of similar knife caps dating to the 16th century are recorded on the PAS database including: KENT-054F5D, LVPL-079519, PUBLIC-503387, NMS-2E5E73Z and LIN-565693.

Description: Post medieval silver shilling, modified to form a probable gaming piece. The shilling is of Edward VI, dating to the period AD 1550 - 1551, mint of London, initial mark: Y. The coin is heavily worn, particularly on the obverse. The reverse exhibits an engraved and hatched letter A without a crossbar in the top right quarter to the right of the shield. Four narrow crescentic apertures have been made around the centre of the coin, following the lines of the inner border; the gaps between each aperture respect the lines of the cross on the reverse.
