Lead spindle whorl of probable medieval date (c. AD 1200 - 1500). Biconical with a central circular perforation. Each face exhibits a mouolded pattern of zig zags and radiating lines. Spindle whorls as an artefact type can be hard to date accurately as they remained in use for a long period of time.
