A cast copper alloy anthropomorphic mount or escutcheon probably from a vessel and dating to the Roman period (AD 43-410). The mount is solid and flat to the reverse, with moulded decoration to the front in the form of a probable male figure with a short fringe decorated with naturalistic irregularly placed short curving grooves. The hair-line stops short of the ears, a moulded C-shaped with a hollowing at the centre. An incomplete copper alloy unidentified object of probable Roman date, AD 43-410. It is sub-triangular in shape but missing its apex and with the opposite edge to this cut into three triangular crenelations. To the front the object is convex and to the reverse concave. At the old break the edge measures 16.7mm, widening over 28.9mm to 36.2mm at the crenelated edge. The inside edge of the outer two triangles is decorated on the convex face with six transverse grooves, each with a V-shaped cross-section. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval (1600-1800) strap-fitting, missing most of each flat integral lug to the reverse. The object is circular and domed, being hollow to the reverse and convex to the front, with a flat rim flanking it. The dome is divided into two stepped areas, the lower of which has a concentric groove close to its upper edge. Topping the upper stepped area is a flattened circular knop with a central perforation. A fragment of Middle to Late Bronze Age (c.1500-900 BC) copper alloy spear, consisting of the tip of the blade only. It is roughly 'leaf' or 'flame' shaped but worn damage to both edges make it hard to determine its original form. At the oldish break the spear has a lozenge-shaped cross-section, measuring 12.3x8.9mm. The socket at this point measures 4.0mm in diameter and is off-set from the centre; this has resulted in a thin mid-rib edge at this point and a perforation further along the mid-rib in line with this. An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD 200-300) finger-ring of Henig Type VII, missing the back of the hoop and its oval setting. The bezel is pointed-oval in shape (20.0x11.4mm) set on a wider platform with 'wings' to either side (max.12.4mm wide) that extend the length of the triangular shoulders. The old breaks occur where the hoop extends, D-shaped in cross-section and measuring c.3.5x1.2mm. At the centre of the pointed oval moulding is an oval (internal measurements 10.9x8.6x1.5mm) with traces of a white-ish/ brown substance inside, presumably to hold the missing setting in place.…

A medieval copper-alloy pin from an annular buckle. It is solidly cast with a rectangular cross-section. The open loop has possible old damage at its tip. To the front of the shaft, below the loop, is a square moulding projecting forwards only. The shaft tapers to a pointed tip, cut at angle to the reverse. The object has a blue-grey pitted patina. Similar examples of pins illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 115; fig. 75) date to around the 14th century AD. The pin measures 40.7mm in length, 10.2mm in max.width (at the loop), 3.8mm in max.width and weighs 2.96g.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy gilded and tinned (or silvered) circular plate brooch (AD 200-350) of Hattatt's gilded glass 'centre-boss' type, missing the pin, spring mechanism and glass centre-boss. The pin lug and the central wall surrounding the missing setting have both suffered post-depositional damage. The central wall measures 17.0mm in external diameter, 14.8mm in internal diameter and stands 2.3mm high.
