The coin is worn on both sides, although the obverse is more badly damaged than the reverse. The obverse shows a bust right, although only the eye and top of the hair are still visible. Incomplete copper alloy and glass jewelled handle, Post Medieval, AD1500-1800. The handle had a glass jewel at one end that is imbedded into the metal handle itself. The jewel is broken in situ. The metal handle itself may have been for a draw or small box such as a tobacco box. The glass jewel is set in the handle, at the widest point. After this setting the handle becomes narrower as it moves into the stem of the object. Complete copper-alloy pommel from a roundel (rondel) dagger of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1350 - 1600. It is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross-section, with a central, circular perforation on either side that does not go all the way through. The pommel has 16 radiating points with regularly spaced deep grooves between them. Roundel daggers were long thin daggers with there round, 'starburst' pommels. They are in use from the mid 14th century until the 16th (Ward Perkins 1940, pg 42).
